Evolutionary Technology: A Causal Approach
-- work in progress --
(copyright Eötvös University, Hungary; JAIST, Japan; and Harvard University, USA)

The main attraction on this page is a REPAST based evolution simulation developed in cooperation with Laszlo Gulyas.
The current version is EvoTech_V-v5.0.9. (2004. August 11.) You can dowload it here.
To run it, you will need to install REPAST and JBuilder Personal (free).

Problem Statement
Can you evolve multiple species in a developing ecosystem so that they will perform an increasing range of
different tasks? Evolutionary algorithms (and their likes) cannot do this. We try an alternative sugggestion:
"deep" or "fat" causal interactions that
change selection forces recursively.
